Pakistan Afternoon
On Thursday 20th October we had Pakistan Afternoon. The afternoon was a celebration of all the children's hard work this half term. The children had an important role in setting up for the day as they had to design and create a market stall for our Pakistan market. The children really enjoyed themselves and did a wonderful job. There were many parents who joined us for the afternoon and the feedback received was brilliant. We are very proud of the children in Year 3 and 4. Thank you to all those who supported us to prepare for this day. Here are some photographs that capture the day's events:
Setting up for the afternoon:
The children then went back to the Year 3 and 4 area to show their parents around their stalls. The children were in role as the stall owners and tried to use the Urdu they had been learning.
The afternoon finished with the children performing a style of pakistani dance called Dandiya which they had been learning during their dance lessons.

School trip
We went to the market.We saw a fish shop and a cloth shop.there was also a cathedral and the printworks.There was a royal theatre.There was a town hall.

Activity Time in Year 3 and Year 4...
The children in Year 3 and Year 4 have Activity Time four times a week. During this time they have the opportunity to develop:
computer skills,
using different techniques in Art,
music skills including using instruments and singing,
ideas in construction and
team work and independent play in the role play.

Highlights from Year 3 and Year 4's school trip to Manchester City Centre and Longsight Market
Last week the children in Year 3 and Year 4 visited Manchester City Centre and Longsight Market. They enjoyed a tour around the city centre and were welcomed into the stalls by the owners of various stalls in Longsight Market. We had a lovely morning. Here are some pictures from the trip...

A little boy was holding his old wooden catapult.He had a very big stone in it.He was aming for the small birds.That were on top of the garage roof.Unfortunately he let it go and the birds flew away.And the stone hit the garage roof and for this reason he got some grey paper and went outside and tried to cover it up.

The Jinj boy is shooting the dangly red Helycopter . the cat is climing the tree and the uther cat is siting on the car. the grass is groing in the sunshin . the truk is dlivring hard hard stons. the runer is runing as fasst as he can to get fit. the car is going to runover the runer. the fiae wood is as brit as the sun.

Year 3 start their direction work!
The Year 3 children started to learn and become confident with new direction language. They played directional Simon Says and directed each other around the playground using the vocabulary: North, South, East, West, North West, South West, North East and South East!

The beginnings of our topic on cities...
Year 3 have begun their topic focusing on cities. We started by looking at maps of the United Kingdom and finding Manchester. We then looked at maps of the city centre. We also started to find attractions in Manchester on a map.
The children were very enthusiatic and excited to find places they knew on the maps...
